Welcome to Panther’s Lair Martial Arts
Panther’s Lair is a traditional Tae Kwon Do martial art studio offering a curriculum focused on developing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Our curriculum provides benefits to children and adults alike. With regard to children, Tae Kwon Do is perfect for building confidence and self-esteem, teaching the importance of values and character, and improving coordination and self-discipline. For adults, Tae Kwon Do improves concentration, improves fitness and self-discipline, and teaches self-defense. Panther’s Lair is family-friendly and provides a positive, safe environment for the instruction of martial arts. We strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and within our community.
Tae Kwon Do is an artistic discipline that originated in Korea. It differs from other martial arts in that it places an emphasis on kicking techniques. Tae Kwon Do was introduced in the United States in the mid-1950’s and has become one of the most popular martial arts.
The 5 Tenets of Tae Kwon Do

Thoughtfulness and respect. Tae Kwon Do practitioners (both students and instructors) should be polite, and show consideration for others.
Integrity (Yom Chi)
How you should interact with others. To be honest and good, earn respect and trust.
Perseverance (In Nae)
Your internal drive. Challenges allow us to improve ourselves and should therefore not be avoided.
Self-Control (Guk Ki)
To have control of your body and mind. A Tae Kwon Do student should practice controlling their actions and reactions.
Indomitable Spirit (Baekjool Boolgool)
To have courage in the face of adversity. A Tae Kwon Do student should never be dominated by, or have their spirit broken by another.
